Bright, slow moving light.

While standing on my deck, I noticed an intense lighted object slowly moving toward the west. It basically looked like a bright vertical line and at first I thought it was simply an airplane lit by the setting sun. However, it was moving very slowly and the intensity of the light never changed (even when it went behind a cloud, I could still see it). I observed it for about 15 minutes as it pass from straight overhead toward the horizon line. By the time I went back into the house, it was still visible in the west.
