red, green, blue, yellow lights and they both shot up and left

the object that I saw stayed in one spot and it was flashing lights and another one showed up and started to flash its lights. it was like they are dancing in the sky and one of them flew off and the other one moved very fast side to side and up and down. Both had red, green, blue, and yellow lights on it and both were oval.
