Driving North on Route 55 in Apex, NC. I noticed a triangular light pattern, I thought it was an airplane heading directly at me. As I approached I realized it wasn't moving. I then thought it was a cell tower lights, I got right beside the object and stopped. I could clearly see it, it was approximatly 300 yards to the left and above me. As my vehicle came to a stop, I rolled the window down and one more person slowed their vehicle beside me and stared as well. The object began to move with a low huming sound.
