Occurred: 2010-09-01 22:40 Local
Reported: 2010-09-01 22:06 Pacific
Duration: 15 seconds
No of observers: 2

Location: Airdrie (Canada), AB, Canada

Shape: Light
Characteristics: Changed Colo

Bright light moving across the sky over Airdrie, Alberta, Canada.

Object apperaed as a bright light in the sky, star like but much brighter and larger than any star in the sky. The sky was dark and quite clear. The object moved from just over the horizon in the south west and moved towards the nort east at a very fast pace. It swerved slightly twice while moving in the sky which both my wife and I observed. Once it reached the point where it was right above us in the centre of the sky it faded, turned red, then disappeared within a two second period. There were no blinking lights as you would see with a plane. My wife and I live under the Calgary airport flight path and see planes in the sky multiple time within an hour and know what plane lights look like, and this was no plane. We also see plenty of sateliites and this seemed too low and was moving way to fast across the sky to be one.
