V shaped object with lights on the wings buzzing too low over the highway...

I was driving from California to Phoenix at night to see my wife and son and there was an 18 wheeler in front of me. We both pulled over because there was a boomerang shaped spacecraft flying back and forth about 10 feet over the highway and we would have hit it if we didn't pull over. It had lights all along the front of the wings and made a low rumbling sound, it lasted about 10 minutes until we drove off and it continued. I don't believe in UFOs...
