FIREBALL STREAKS ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN SKY OVER COUMBIA GORGE

I hope I can supply as much info, as I am second hand. Our son lives in Spokane and left our home approximately 5pm. He called half an hour later to say he just saw a fireball. meteor or asteroid streak across the sky in front of him. He is not given to drinking, drugs or pranking. I do not know who to call and/or who to ask. He was driving alone.
