Several orange light spheres following same path then vanishing at same location in sky

Hi, Just writing about what my wife and I seen on Sat. night 12-22-2012.

We seen at least 30-40 flying orange balls of light coming from the north then ending up at the same spot and fading away.

The time was just at sunset about 4:40-5:00pm.

Crystal clear night.

We watched for about 20 minutes, but they were there before I noticed them.

No noise and they were all the same size appearing to be traveling at the same speed.

Was the weirdest thing we've seen.

Would like to know what they were.

We live in Centerville, MN 55038 Please let me know if there were other people who saw these things.
