Moving green light split into two then disappeared

There was a huge green light (first seemed like a helicopter) that seemed to hover slowly to the west which then split into 2 smaller green lights. After it split into two, the lights disappeared. The huge green light didn't blink or flash and it looked like a teardrop moving sideways.
