Shape: Light
Characteristics: Changed Colo

Dark orange or reddish light traversed the sky to the Northeast at about 02:00 on 02March, 2013 about 20 miles South of Mille Lacs Lake

I was outside taking a break and was facing essentially North, looking up at the stars. I noted the one dark orange light, almost red moving very slowly.

At first I did not notice it's motion until it was no longer lined up with the ground reference point I will sometimes make with objects not familiar or stars to see if they are in motion.

Where I am, I see a great deal of odd lights in the sky, flashes, etc to the point where they are "almost" a routine thing.

Once I realized this object was in motion, it was on a trajectory to the NorthEast with a slight curve in the trajectory as it was moving almost due East initially. It was moving too slow to be a satellite or a regular aircraft and no regular aircraft were in the area at the time.

The 02:00 is an approximate time, within about 10 minutes either way. If moonrise were earlier, than my time is wrong accordingly to moonrise (I initially did not think it significant until I tuned in Coast to Coast on 3-4-13

It took a while to traverse the portion of the sky where it was visible, about 4 minutes. No sound was noted. Speed, hard to estimate, but certainly below 500 knots as it moved notably slower than the typical passenger jet.

Object disappeared before reaching horizon. The Moon was just below horizon, and minimal clouds were in the sky at the time.
