At first thought it was a Chinese lantern, but realised it was too still to be a lantern.

Then thought it was a plane when it started moving. It had a red light on one side and a blue/green light on the other it was going far too fast over the flat when it moved to be a plane or any man made object.

At one point colours flashed out almost like a firework and sunk back into the object, before flying over and changing direction where it sat for approx half an hour before disappearing
