5 orange-gold lights ascend and disappear My boyfriend and I both witnessed three balls of light orange-gold in color appear in the sky to the east of our house in downtown Salt Lake City. They were in a triangle formation. They hung in one spot for a few seconds, so we thought they were helicopters. The U hospital is in that direction so it seemed logical. Then the lights began to ascend straight upward. Two more lights of the same color appeared below the first three. For a few seconds the five lights glowed together. We watched in wonder trying to figure this out. The original three soon ascended more and one-by-one became more faint until they disappeared. My boyfriend lost interest, but I stepped outside to observe the other two. Like the first three, they too ascended and disappeared. There was no sound.
