red balls of light over houses

I'm writing to clarify what I saw on the 19th since I've been reading back through your web pages, I neglected to include the size speed and distance, which I believe you might find important now since I'm not very good with these things i'm going to explain as best i can.

Looking out the window i saw this ball of red light just coming over the the house not 50 yards away, it was just above the houses I had a very clear look at it but of course I ran in to wake my husband and run out to the porch when we saw 2 of them, I would say that they were flying at a speed like a helicopter would fly by on a search not very fast but not too slow they were flying nw direction the light was not solid thats why I think some people see red while others see orange. But they are bright the size is hard I'm going to equate it to a small helicopter cabin because I didn't see any wings or parts protruding, no sound .

I've been searching the sky's ever since that week but haven't seen another as of yet. I hope that someone can discover what these things we are seeing are.
