Unidentified balls of light with flaming tails that floated down out of the sky like feathers.

While driving east on the 202 near Val Vista rd Exit we saw 2 red balls floating down from the Sky like feathers that broke off into 4 balls.

They had a random pattern. They would blink on and off and vary in brightness. At times the ball was white/blue with a red flaming tail. Then they disappeared. They did not streak down like a meteor but again floated down bouncing like feathers.
