I stood at the exact turning point as it came across from CA./NV then to Phoenix.

To start off with, I'd like to say that I've felt the need to report this "officialy" since 1997.

I've been an over-the-road truck driver for more than 20 yrs. One evening while driving westbound on I-40 through Arizona with my wife by my side and two other trucks (one with husband and wife team, the other a solo driver) driving together and staying in communication with each other via CB radios. I noticed the glow of lights on the horizon as the sun had set. I didn't think anything of them at first as I chocked them up to street lights. Three of the lights however did catch my attention, then my wifes, then the others behind us. They seemed different than the other lights as they seemed liquid ( they didn't share the glare that the other lights had) and they seemed to be moving in our direction between the interstate and the parallel mountain range on the northern side ( to our right). They looked like a triangle in shape (considering the angle as it approached). I used the CB to communicate with the others and they concurred that we were all seeing the same object. As! they got closer, the size became more apparent. There was a mountain about 3/4 of a mile to the north of the hiway. The forward light (front) was directly over the mountain, the left over the hiway, and the right now out of view as the mountain became dwarfed in the foreground. We all pulled to the shoulder of the hiway as we noticed that 3-4 cars on the Eastbound side had pulled over and were standing in the hiway. We did the same. We looked up at a huge triangular object that made no sound as it hovered on by darkening the sky from the stars. Then in an instant, shot south toward Phoenix without creating a slight breaze. It has been a life changer for all of us. Thank you for being available to share or document this.
