Huge red ball of fire from the west traveled quickly to the south, then hovered for a minute or two and disappeared.

Sitting outside talking and all of a sudden a huge red ball of fire rose from the west and rapidly gained altitude, then abruptly stopped to the south and hovered there for a while, then disappeared.

Friend took still photo of red ball before it disappeared.
