5 lights moving in formation as they decent. 5 lights, similar to the look of flares, moving round each other while lowering in elevation. They left a very short lasting trail behind each. They were in a shape similar to the big dipper when I first spotted them. They moved in formation with what seemed to be one taking the lead. I lost sight after they dropped below a near by roof line. I was at ground level, the roof is 4 stories, so they were likely still at a decent height.
