Picked my 12 yrs old son up from friends, driving down dark road and both of us were startled by a chevron shaped yellowish light streaking in a 90 degree vertically down, which gave us the impression it went into the Atlantic Ocean just off coast.
I have NEVER seen a meteor this yellow and traveling in a straight down linear motion.
