At 3:10 PM DST, I was sitting in my backyard reading, when I heard a very high pitched crackling sound (a zing-g-g-g ?) overhead. It was loud enough that my wife and sister-in-law heard it from the living room. Within a second or two following the event, another sound came. It was similar in effect to the sound of an acorn falling and hitting a leaf, yet sharper. It dislodged several leaves which fluttered to the ground from my right to my left. There was no breeze or wind. Everything was quiet.
