Location: Bloomington (just N of; on I-55 N), IL, USA

Shape: Triangle
Characteristics: Lights on object

Large triangular hovering object with very bright white and red lights.

Driving northbound on I-55 around mile marker 178/179, a very bright light was observed and appeared to be hovering around 150-200 yards up.

As we got closer, we noticed 2 white lights and one red flashing light on the back point of the triangular snap. The object appeared large with nothing observed to be holding it up.

It did not move the entire time it remained in sight.
