Football field sized rectangle, black, near Boone N.C. that disappeared at a high rate of speed.

At approximately 10:30pm on the previous Friday night, looking north towards Hawks Nest ski resort, over a large valley at approximately 3600ft elevation near Boone, NC, I witnessed a large black rectangle with around one dozen lights underneath.

It appeared to be 1/4 mile away, and 500ft above the valley floor. It appeared to be the suze if a a football field, but extremely thin; think of a gigantic iPhone. After a few seconds, it vanished at an amazing rate of speed to the east and out of view.
