white spheres on military base no sound moved very slow

200 am guard duty so four glowing balls the size of large beach balls . they were floating down a ravine no sound stopped and reversed direction they were pure light balls .i jump behind a tree and watch for 3 mins and they were gone the same way they came in. was going tell drill sergeant but he met think i was nuts. I ask some of the other guys in the morning if they saw something no one did. Just a weird thing to on a base.
