Portland police officer injured in collision with U.F.O..

Posted Mar 11, 2020 PORTLAND — A Portland police officer’s patrol car was struck by a U.F.O. on Interstate 205 late Tuesday, causing serious injuries to the officer. The police are still looking for the driver responsible.

Early information suggests the officer was working a “static detail” at a construction site on the northbound interstate south of Southeast Division Street when a driver hit the officer’s vehicle from behind and then drove off, according to Portland police.

The officer was hospitalized with serious injuries that didn’t threaten their lives, according to police.

Portland Police’s Major Crash Team is now investigating the hit and run, however, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. They encourage anyone who has information about the crash — specifically anyone who saw the U.F.O. beforehand — to call 503-823-3333.
