White light briefly seen around Orion's belt I was looking up at the night sky on a clear night, around 9PM, March 12. I was staring at Orion's belt. Between the stars "Meissa" and "Betelgeuse" I saw a bright white light. I would say it quickly appeared like within 1 second, but it was not instantaneous. It was a constant white light that did not flicker or distort in any way, and was about twice the size of the nearby stars. It then moved between those 2 stars from right to left (west to east) within 2.5-3 seconds and then faded out as quickly as it had appeared. It had no trail or anything typical of a "shooting star."
