appearing in the sky in front of our eyes and just drifting across the sky looked like stars but shooting stars are much faster.

seen at least 30 lights in the sky while out for a smoke seen another 15 moving across the sky over Detroit MI. 9:25 p.m. to 9:35 p.m. weren't shooting stars or memorial candles or balloons. they were appearing out of no where and moving across the sky
