Unknown multiple lights crossing sky

I stepped outside. It was already dark and a clear night. I looked up into the eastern sky and saw a string of lights going across the sky from the SW to the NE. They were white/ whitish blue color. I lost count at 20. I then went and got my iPad to record. I recorded the event but it came out all dark. I still have the video. The event lasted for another minute or so as the last light or object went by and disappeared into the night sky.
