Lighted train flies across night sky At about 20° above the horizon, moving from northwest to southeast, and north of Midland, Texas there appeared to be a string of lights moving rapidly across the sky. It was moving about as fast as a low flying jet would move, but it was much longer than any kind of a jet taking off or landing. It was almost as if a fully lit train was flying through the night sky. At first I thought it was a reflected condensation trail, but then became more luminous as a string of lights, very close together, and in a very straight line and the trail did not extend, meaning the string of lights moved as a unit. It made rapid progress across the sky and it disappeared before I could take a picture of it.
