Distant Satellite -Erratic Flight Path About an hour after sunset, I observed a distant high altitude “satellite” due east of my position -moving south. It looked as bright as a distant planet. Suddenly it accelerated, making a downward swoop then quickly regained original altitude, continuing south. The object maintained a steady path for about 8 seconds. It paused briefly coming to a complete stop, then began a 45 degree descent. I assume it was no longer reflecting the sun as it grew dimmer, and disappeared. I have maritime experience as well as an aviation background. Definitely not a drone or typical aircraft. Thanks for your work.
