A long array of lights, 75-100, bunched in a straight line, moving roughly eastward.

My wife and I were outside comet and meteor hunting. We spotted a long line of lights, bunched together. The lights were grouped randomly, in no particular pattern, other than together in a long, cigar- like pattern. As they moved to the east, over our farm, they slowly faded. We could still make out the vague shape of an object moving and blocking stars until clouds and the light from nearby town made it impossible to see. We can't be sure of the altitude, probably very high, which would make this object an exceptionally huge one. Very strange, glad my wife saw it too, otherwise she wouldn't have believed me. Entire sighting lasted about 2 minutes, lights were only visible for about 30 seconds.
