Bright ball of light moved in an odd pattern.

Bright ball of light that moved left then right at an average speed then straight down really fast and disappeared behind the tree line. Was straight ahead of me while I was driving. It seemed to be at some distance.

I’ve seen shooting stars before and this was not a shooting star.
