It was an oval object with mist clinging to it

I was taking my dog for a walk and when we emerged from my apartment building I heard words in my mind saying ‘look up now!’ Without reflection I looked up to the East and at about 60degrees from me in the sky was an oval object with mist clinging to it. The surface was white with a matte quality - its far side was cast in shadow. I stared at it for a good moment trying to ascertain its size and dimensions. This was somewhat difficult as if I couldn’t properly focus on all of its details at once. It looked to be several hundred feet from the ground and was maybe 30’ in height and 20’ wide at its center. While I was examining it, somebody was coming from behind me and my dog distracted me for a second. When I looked back the object was gone. I was wearing polarized sun glasses - I don’t know if I would have seen it without them. The object blended well with the sky.
