Two UFOs during meteor shower

I was in my yard watching a meteor shower. I noticed what looked like two stars very close together. As I watched, the object moved forward South to North. Once in awhile it hovered and then went forward in a jerky manner. All of a sudden, it changed direction and went south again. Every once in awhile it stopped and hovered.

As I watched, another one appeared going from east to west. It hovered, went really fast for a moment, hovered again and went in the same jerky motion. It was way higher than a plane could ever go. They both met and continued south. Then as I watched, they went really fast and disappeared. The lights were not blinking. They were a steady white. I watched them until they disappeared.

I never saw any meteorites.
