Large circular object, which appeared to be moving very slowly.

The object didn't appear to be a satellite or planet. It was spherical and appeared to be moving very slowly away from the moon. I viewed it from the kitchen window and initially thought it might be Venus but it looked too clear and too close.
Apologies if it is Venus.
