A fireball like object appeared out of nowhere and streaked away. I was in my backyard after work smoking around 1:30am. The sky was clear, and I was looking at the stars as I always do. Out of the corner of my eye I see a very bright orange light (I could see the light on my face) and my jaw dropped. It stayed stationary for a second, then it seemed to float slightly upwards. Within a couple seconds, it shot out in a direction and I could see the light trail for all of 2 or 3 seconds, then it was gone like nothing happened. It made no sound. This all happened in a matter of seconds and I couldn’t even get my phone out in time. I’ve never seen anything like this before. I can’t be the only person in Elyria who saw it.
