Object that looked something like a tree seed in the wind, but appears to have changed shape, moved left to right through screen

An infrared camera pointed upward captured an object moving diagonally from the left to the lower right through the camera screen. There was a wind, and it could be taken for a kind of helicopter seed but for the apparent change in shape, its speed and luminescence - plus, there just wasn't anything blowing around in the air. One of the screenshots shows a "trail" of sorts.
