Black triangle appeared to glide over homes until was no longer in view

I was in a car and caught what appeared to be a black triangle with no lights no tail or turbines gliding northwest of the car. The triangular flying object appeared very thin unlike airplanes and while seen was traveling slowly but then moderately until out of sight.
