A bright white light suddenly appeared in the western sky at night. While flying from Prince George to Vancouver British Columbia at 25,000 feet above sea level approximately 9 PM Pacific time on December 12, 2022 myself and another Pilot witness a white light appear in the western sky above the horizon. It appeared to be stationary, and after approximately 10 seconds, it turned orange and faded shortly disappearing. It reappeared after approximately five minutes as a bright white light again, fading to orange and disappearing. This happened approximately three or four more times. I’ve seen many satellites in the night sky, and none of them have appeared as this one appeared. I have no idea what it was and I’ve never seen anything like it.
